A experiência de atravessar fronteiras como instituinte dos Estados-nações modernos na existência subjetiva e coletiva das pessoas constitui o objetivo deste artigo, cuja origem se encontra na experiência vivida nas fronteiras entre o Brasil, a Argentina e o Paraguai. Argumento que as experiências de atravessar as fronteiras são entendidas a partir de seus limites territoriais e simbólicos, mas propõe a questão do dinamismo próprio ao ato de deslocar-se e do movimento, concebidos como sendo cheio de contrastes, pois o pertencimento se realiza, paradoxalmente, na travessia. Enfoco essas experiências por meio da analogia com os rituais de passagem, cujos simbolismos são indicativos que definem, vivificam, fazem e (des) fazem a presença dos Estados-nações na vida dos indivíduos na passagem.
Resumo Inglês:
The experience of crossing borders as instituting of the modern Nation-States in the subjective and collective existence of the people is the aim of this article, with reference to the borders between Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay. It arguments that the experiences of crossing borders are conceived of its territorial and symbolic limits but raises the question of the proper dynamism to the act of traveling and moving, conceived as full of contrasts as the membership is done, paradoxically, in the crossing act itself. I focus on these experiences making analogy with the rites of passage, taking their symbolism as indicatives that define, vivify, make and (un) make the presence of the Nation-states in the lives of individuals in the crossing of the borders.
