O presente trabalho tem por objetivo realizar uma leitura do romance Sinfonia em Branco, publicado em 2001, por Adriana Lisboa. O enredo focaliza o tema do incesto apresentando as consequências psicológicas acarretadas, para a personagem Clarice, uma vez que o incesto, considerado como um tabu nas sociedades patriarcais aconteceu por meio do estupro, praticado pelo próprio pai. Com efeito, na obra, inserida em uma vertente urbana da literatura de autoria feminina, persiste a configuração de uma sociedade que apresenta resquícios da cultura patriarcal, o que corrobora, significativamente, com a intensificação dos traumas psicológicos que marcam as trajetórias das personagens femininas.

The present work aims to study the novel Symphony in White, published in 2001, by Adriana Lisboa. The plot focuses on the subject of incest presenting the psychological consequences to the character Clarice, since incest, considered a taboo in patriarchal societies happened through the rape, practiced by her father. Indeed, in the work, inserted in an urban strand of literature of female authorship, the configuration of a society that presents remnants of the patriarchal culture persists, which corroborates, significantly, with the intensification of the psychological traumas that mark the trajectories of the female characters.
