A violência obstétrica é considerada um problema de saúde pública, social complexo na vida de milhares de mulheres no mundo, haja vista que os fatos ocorrem na maioria das vezes no momento mais especial e importante, que é o período gestacional no TP (trabalho de parto). Geralmente esse tipo de violência ocorre de forma humilhante, ofensiva, com tratamento desumano, violação de direitos, realização de procedimentos sem consentimento da mulher, privando-a do poder de decisão sobre seu próprio corpo, causando traumas físicos, psicológicos e emocionais. Os objetivos desse estudo são conceituar violência obstétrica, bem como descrever os seus tipos e delinear humanização na assistência no parto, justificando-se a importância que há em conhecer as experiências vivenciadas pelas mulheres atendidas no trabalho de parto em maternidades públicas do Brasil de forma a possibilitar reflexões e explorar outras perspectivas que auxiliem na formação dos profissionais envolvidos nesse contexto e na melhoria das práticas assistenciais. Trata-se de uma pesquisa de revisão bibliográfica, utilizando as bases de dados: Biblioteca virtual em saúde (BVS), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) e Google Acadêmico, contendo artigos publicados entre os anos de 2016 e 2018, com publicações anteriores devido à importância para o tema, com texto acessível em língua portuguesa, com o objetivo de pontuar as práticas da humanização na assistência ao parto e as experiências vivenciadas no TP e apoio emocional à mulher. Concluímos que o trabalho de parto requer a capacitação, respeito e o acolhimento da equipe de enfermagem para que haja uma assistência humanizada.

Obstetric violence is considered a complex public and social health problem in the lives of thousands of women in the world, since the facts occur most often at the most special and important moment, which is the gestational period in the PT (labor)). Generally, this type of violence occurs in a humiliating, offensive way, with inhuman treatment, violation of rights, procedures without the woman's consent, depriving her of the power to decide on her own body, causing physical, psychological and emotional trauma. The objectives of this study are to conceptualize obstetric violence, as well as to describe its types and tod elineate humanization in childbirth care, justifying the importance of knowing the experiences of women attended in labor in public maternity hospitals in Brazil in order to enable reflection and explore other perspectives that help in the training of professionals involved in this context and in the improvement of care practices. This is a bibliographic review research, using the following databases: Virtual Health Library (VHL), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) and Google Scholar, containing articles published between 2016 and 2018, with previous publications due to the theme, with a text accessible in Portuguese, with the aim of punctuating the practices of humanization in childbirth care and the experiences lived in the PD and emotional support to the woman. We conclude that labor requires the training, respect and the reception of the nursing team so that humanized assistance is available.
