A reflexão parte das constatações sobre a conjuntura eclesial elaboradas por João Batista Libanio em sua obra A volta à grande disciplina. O enquadramento dos sujeitos eclesiais da era pós-conciliar, inspirado nos padrões identitários tridentinos, constituía um projeto em andamento no início dos anos oitenta. Esse propósito tomou formas nesses quarenta anos e construiu um legado que hoje configura uma conjuntura inédita, distante de uma pretensa unidade de imaginário e de disciplina. A reflexão indica a crise do modelo de enquadramento desde a renúncia de Bento XVI e as contradições hoje enfrentadas por seu sucessor com os projetos de reforma inadiável da Igreja.

This reflection is based on Joao Batista Libanio’s observations about the ecclesial situation in his work The Return to Great Discipline. The framing of ecclesial subjects in the post-conciliar era, inspired by Tridentate identity patterns, was an ongoing project at the beginning of the 1980s. This purpose has taken shape over the last forty years and has built up a legacy that today configures an unprecedented situation, far removed from a supposed unity of imaginary and discipline. The reflection points to the crisis of the framework model since the resignation of Benedict XVI and the contradictions faced today by his successor with the projects of unavoidable reform of the Church.
