Este trabalho se dedica à análise da contística do ficcionista mineiro Luiz Vilela, para a qual elegemos três contos, a saber, as narrativas intituladas ―Amor‖, ―Nosso dia‖ e ―Françoise‖. A ficção de Vilela é eivada de diálogos — e esta é precisamente a tônica da reflexão crítica sobre sua obra, sua incrível capacidade de criar diálogos verossímeis. No entanto, através desses diálogos em seus textos, o que se evidencia é o olhar da literatura do escritor mineiro acerca da precariedade da comunicação nas relações humanas. Os contos de Luiz Vilela apanham o homem arruinado por sua incapacidade de transmitir-se a outrem, ainda que, em um raro momento, haja uma ruptura com essa lógica da incompreensão, o que se dá no diálogo que se estabelece entre o narrador e a personagem que dá nome ao conto ―Françoise‖. Como referencial teórico deste trabalho, ancoramonos nos autores Ciro Marcondes Filho, Jean Baudrillard, Antonio Candido, Zygmunt Bauman, José Fernandes, Assis Brasil, Antônio Hohlfeldt, Fábio Lucas, Julio Cortázar, Maurice Blanchot, Merleau-Ponty.

This work turns to the tales of Brazilian fiction writer Luiz Vilela. As cut, we have chosen three stories, namely the narrative entitled "Amor", "Nosso dia" and "Françoise". The Vilela fiction is fraught with dialogue - and this is precisely the tonic of critical reflection on his work, his incredible ability to create believable dialogue - however, through these dialogues in their texts, what is evident is the literature look of Brazilian writer about the precariousness of communication in human relations. The tales of Luiz Vilela catch the man ruined by their inability to pass on to others, however, in a rare moment, there is a break with the logic of misunderstanding, which occurs in the dialogue established in the short story named "Françoise". As theoretical reference of this work, we rely on authors Ciro Marcondes Filho, Jean Baudrillard, Antonio Candido, Zygmunt Bauman, José Fernandes, Assis Brazil, Antonio Hohlfeldt, Fábio Lucas, Julio Cortázar, Maurice Blanchot, Merleau-Ponty, etc.
