As décadas que se seguiram ao final da II Guerra Mundial testemunharam a afirmação do estudo e desenvolvimento da organização cientÃfica do trabalho em Portugal. Ao nÃvel administrativo, o Ministério das Finanças toma a dianteira no processo através do Gabinete de Estudos António José Malheiro. Este artigo pretende analisar a ação do organismo no sentido da formação de especialistas e da inclusão do PaÃs numa rede de contactos internacionais com vista à difusão destes métodos, alertando, igualmente, para a sua atuação no sentido do estudo e organização do trabalho realizado ao nÃvel do Ministério.
After the end of World War II, Portugal witnessed the development of scientific management. At the administrative level, the Ministry of Finance takes the lead in the process through the Research Office “António José Malheiroâ€, starting to study the working methods used and the alternatives that could lead to the increase of the productivity levels. This article tries to analyze the action of the Research Office in order to train specialists and develop scientific management in the Ministry.
