A engenharia florestal é uma profissão que se utiliza de ciências que trabalham diretamente com o ambiente e, portanto deve formar profissionais capacitados para desenvolver atividades de educação ambiental. O objetivo desta pesquisa foi analisar a percepção de estudantes e profissionais de engenharia florestal com relação a importância da educação ambiental para sua profissão e assim analisar o grau de conscientização destes. A percepção deste público foi analisada por meio de uma enquete eletrônica. Verificou-se que os estudantes e profissionais sabem da importância de aprender educação ambiental para sua formação, demonstrando um alto grau de conscientização. Neste contexto, o curso de engenharia florestal atende às necessidades dos estudantes quanto à demanda do mercado de trabalho e tentou evoluir ao longo do tempo.
The forest engineering is a science that works directly with the natural environment and should form able to develop environmental education activities professionals. The objective of this research was to analyze the perception of students and professionals forest engineering regarding the importance of environmental education for their profession and thus analyze the degree of awareness of these. The perception was analyzed by means of an electronic poll. It was found that students and professionals know the importance of learning about environmental education for its formation, demonstrating a high degree of awareness about this. Thus, the course of forest engineering meets the needs of students and the demands of the labor market and evolved over time.
