Ecological aspects of animal and plant species that occur in forest fragments are few known. The present study aimed to characterize the guild of visiting birds of Prunus sellowii Koehne in fruiting. It was verified a large number of individuals consuming the fruits, but belonging to only 5 species (3 genera) of birds. The activity of these birds is of importance in the dissemination of seeds of the plant species to other fragments and to areas that have undergone anthropic influence
