The present work deals with the description of the general and microscopic characters of the wood of Myrciaria tenella (DC.) Berg. Quantitative data and photomicrographs of its anatomical structure are provided. The wood presents all the characters considered as predominates in the family Myrtaceae by the anatomical literature.
