The present work deals with the description of the general, macroscopic and microscopic characteristics of Feijoa sellowiana Berg wood. The main anatomical characteristics are considered typical for the Myrtaceae family. The anatomical identification of wood requires microscopic features of secondary importance and quantitative values, due to the structural homogeneity and abundance of native species of this botanical family in southern Brazil.
