The present study describes the relationships between soil physical and morphological characteristics and the growth of Araucaria angustifolia (Bert.) O. Ktze., In three soil types in the Passo Fundo National Forest, RS. Soil samples were collected at epth of 0-20 cm, in square plots of 400 m 2 demarcated at random. The procedure to evaluate the growth of Araucaria angustifolia with the soil characteristics was through simple linear correlation.
