After four years the second issue of the Bulletin of the Institute of Natural Sciences of the Federal University of Santa Maria is published.
The interregnum was imposed by circumstances inherent to the interior condition of Santa Maria. The first number was devoted entirely to Botany and this is also, and more especially to Paleontology. Faithful to the orientation of the beginning, the Bulletin will continue to focus on subjects related to the natural wealth of the region that is located the Federal University of Santa Maria, aiming to awaken a growing interest in our things. As happened to the first, we hope that this number will merit the same comforting welcome.
