Este artigo tem por objetivo mostrar que o apoio da OAB à ditadura militar contou com muitos elementos pragmáticos, envolvendo interesses dos associados e da direção.  Através da análise das atas das reuniões ordinárias e extraordinárias do Pleno entre 1964 - 65, a OAB estabeleceu uma pauta própria neste período, na qual se apresentam diagnósticos políticos (especialmente contra o "perigo comunista") associadas a   gestões junto ao Governo Federal visando implementar uma pauta bastante pragmática, centrada na   defesa dos interesses econômicos dos advogados.

This article aims to show that the support of the OAB to   the   military   dictatorship   had   many   pragmatic elements,    involving    interests    of    members    and direction. Through detailed analysis of the minutes of regular  and  extraordinary  meetings  between  1964 - 65,  this  work  aims  to  demonstrate  that  the OAB  set its  own  agenda  in  this  period,  what  was  associated with   political   radicalism   against   the   "communist threat"  actions  to  shut  the  internal  opposition  and the defense of interests of lawyers especially through personal gestions on the Federal Government.
