Historicamente, a formação profissional do enfermeiro abarca campos da educação e da saúde. O objeto desta investigação está centrado no perfil dos docentes das escolas de enfermagem federais para cumprimento do Projeto Pedagógico de Curso, com vista ao exercício e a prática com compromisso social. Este estudo se justifica pelo entendimento do perfil dos professores entrelaçado com o pano de fundo que é a formação profissional e o compromisso social. Investigar o perfil profissional dos professores com a compreensão da formação de enfermeiros com compromisso social. Estudo de caso em 2014. Abordagem quanti-qualitativa com aporte de Pierre Bourdieu. Comitê de ética CEP/HUAP nº 277/10. Tabelas descritivas com dados quantitativos e discussão sobre aspectos obtidos a partir de entrevista. Violência simbólica e dominação masculina. A investigação permitiu a apresentação do perfil profissional dos professores para a compreensão do abarcamento da formação de enfermeiros com compromisso social. O compromisso social suscita comportamento social, abarca ética e competência profissional na prática do enfermeiro docente e assistencial, a atitude profissional produzida pela estrutura social.
Historically, professional training of nurses encompasses fields of education and health. The objective of this research is centered on the profile of the teachers of the federal nursing schools to fulfill the Pedagogical Project of Course, with a view to the exercise and practice with social commitment. The social commitment raises social behavior, embraces ethics and professional competence in the practice of teaching and care nurse, the professional attitude produced by the social structure.
