O estudo parte de levantamento de dados sobre três instituições educacionais privadas do estado do Rio de janeiro. Depois de identificar as respectivas realidades estruturais, socioculturais e econômicas, o estudo investigou as condições de trabalho do professor e a demanda da escola em relação ao ensino do teatro, com o objetivo de identificar a função atribuída a esta disciplina no contexto escolar. Como fonte, foram utilizados os respectivos sites e materiais de divulgação, assim como depoimentos de professores inseridos em cada um desses contextos. As escolas são identificadas por nomes fictícios, tanto para que o foco da análise seja o projeto, a gestão e a prática pedagógica, quanto para preservar as relações de trabalho.
This study is based on the analysis of three private schools located in the state of Rio de Janeiro. After identifying structural, social and economic realities of these educational institutions, this paper aims to promote a reflection on the role of teaching theatre in each one of them. All sources for research and reference were based on websites, publicity material and reports of teachers inserted in these contexts. Schools are identified by fictitious names, so that the focus of the analysis is on the project, management and pedagogical practice. Teacher’s names were ommited to preserve working relationships.
