Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar a natureza do capitalismo brasileiro tendo em vista tanto a dimensão política quanto a dimensão econômica que regem o padrão de desenvolvimento da economia brasileira. Para tanto, faz-se necessário concentrar a análise nos principais autores que tratam dos quesitos políticos e econômicos do padrão de desenvolvimento brasileiro, abrangendo um período considerável da história do Brasil, que passa desde a colonização por Portugal até o Plano de Metas de Juscelino Kubitschek, em meados da década de 1950. Com isso, este estudo nos permite analisar o nascimento da burguesia brasileira, o processo de industrialização realizado no Brasil, assim como o papel desempenhado pelo Estado na economia durante todo o período.
This article aims to analyze the nature of Brazilian capitalism in view of both the political dimension and the economic dimension that govern the development pattern of the Brazilian economy. To do so, it is necessary to focus the analysis on the main authors dealing with the political and economic issues of the Brazilian development pattern, covering a considerable period of Brazilian history, ranging from the colonization by Portugal to the Plan of Goals of Juscelino Kubitschek, in the mid-1950s. Thus, this study allows us to analyze the birth of the Brazilian bourgeoisie, the process of industrialization in Brazil, as well as the role played by the State in the economy throughout the period.
