Neste artigo buscamos discutir possibilidades de diálogos entre a história e a literatura. A partir da obra Vidas Secas, de Graciliano Ramos e de alguns dos seus manuscritos não-ficcionais, analisamos os vários olhares acerca do autor e a sua visão sobre o momento histórico vivenciado durante a década de 1930 e 1940 no Brasil. Abordamos questões sobre memória, história, literatura e narrativa, em que a tessitura histórica e a tessitura literária se aproximam e também se afastam em um diálogo que tem sido retomado com maior ênfase na contemporaneidade.
In this article we aim to discuss possibilities of dialogues between history and literature. From the work of Gracilianos Ramos entitled Vidas Secas on and some of his non-fictional manuscripts, we analyze several sights on the author and his view about the historical moment lived during the 30’s and 40’s in Brazil. We deal with issues about memory, history, literature and narrative, in which the historical and the literary textile draw near and far with dialogues that has been revisited with greatest emphases at the contemporary times.
