Este artigo trata do estudo sobre a condição feminina no Ceará Colonial, seguindo um percurso que vai do modelo de relações homem-mulher estabelecido no Brasil, seguido de um estudo sobre o espaço social feminino dentro da família e do domicílio. Dentro deste contexto abordarei também as organizações familiares constituídas através do concubinato e do amasiamento além de uma análise sobre a prostituição feminina no período colonial.
This paper is corncerned with the study of women's condition in Colonial Ceara, following a trajectory that goes from the model of men and women relationships established in Brazil, followed by a study of the female social space in the family and the household. Within this context, it also addresses the organizations formed by families of concubinage and amasiamento as well as an analysis of female prostitution in the colonial period.
