Para compreender as condições de sobrevivência de crianças e adolescentes pobres no Brasil e no mundo, é necessário restituir as análises socioeconômicas e culturais de existência centrada nas relações sociais de classe e de sexo. O material empírico é proveniente de uma pesquisa realizada na cidade de João Pessoa-PB, com adolescentes em condição de rua e das políticas de institucionalização. As contribuições da mídia, relatórios e literatura, possibilitaram a compreensão e análise das precárias condições da realidade latino-americana e europeia da temática. Nos últimos vinte anos a problemática das crianças e adolescentes desfavorecidas no Brasil e no âmbito internacional é objeto de discussão de pesquisas das Ciências Sociais objetivando propiciar a construção de um conhecimento com vistas à erradicação da mesma.
To understand survival conditions of poor children and teenagers of Brazil and in the world, it is necessary to study socio-economic and cultural ways of existence, to focuses on essential social, class and gender relations to get to conceive our theme. The empiric material is the result of the search conducted in João Pessoa – PB, on life conditions of teenagers in the streets combine with governmental policies of the institutionalization system study. With the help of the media, reports and interviews are datum important for the understanding and the study of precariousness conditions of our thematic, existing in South America and Europe realities. Those last twenty years we are facing problems of children and teenagers penalized in Brazil and abroad, subject of researches in Social Sciences departments to build knowledge in direction of a same eradication
