Este artigo tem por objetivo analisar os discursos que orientaram certas prescrições para o ensino das letras presentes na obra Diccionario Pueril para o uso dos meninos, ou dos que principião o A B C, e a soletrar diccções (1784), cuja autoria foi registrada ao pernambucano Luiz Alvares [Alves] Pinto. Publicado em Portugal no século XVIII, estas instruções orientavam práticas educativas para aprender o alfabeto da Língua Latina. A publicação de dicionários, manuais e tratados de cariz pedagógico e de bons costumes teve relativo sucesso editorial no setecentos lusitano. Neste estudo enquadramo-lo na categoria de Literatura de Comportamento Social, pois se constitui como um importante instrumento capaz de promover máximas morais, geralmente católicas, e de guiar condutas sociais que contribuíam eficientemente na manutenção e bom funcionamento da corte portuguesa e da sua principal colônia.
This article aims analyze the discourses that have guided certain requirements for the teaching of the letters present in work Diccionario Pueril para o uso dos meninos, ou dos que principião o A B C, e a soletrar diccções (1784), whose authorship was registered to Luiz Alvarez [Alves] Pinto from the state Pernambuco. Published in Portugal in the 18th century, these instructions guided educational practices to learn the alphabet of the Latin language. The publication of dictionaries, manuals and treaties of pedagogical nature and morality had relative success editorial in seven hundred lusitano. In this study we locate in the category of Literature of Social Behavior, as it constitutes an important instrument to promote moral maxims, usually Catholic, and guide social behaviors that contribute effectively to the maintenance and functioning of the Portuguese reign and its main colony.
