A dissertação se propôs a realizar um estudo introdutório da readaptação funcional de professores na Rede Municipal de Educação de Belo Horizonte. Tratou-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa, de caráter exploratório, que teve como suporte os eixos analíticos e operacionais, sendo que os eixos analíticos retrataram o cerne das preocupações com a apreensão do objeto de pesquisa, e os operacionais buscaram estabelecer referenciais para a execução do trabalho.
