Este artigo apresenta, a partir da Semiótica Social, uma análise do livro “a casa: (in)cômodos(di)versos”, de Osmar Casagrande, explorando a integração entre o verbal e o não-verbal.Assumindo-se como base teórica a Semiótica Social, estudo descrito a partir da segundametade dos anos de 1980, na Europa e na Austrália (van LEEUWEN, 2005), a análise destacano livro analisado a interface entre a gramática funcional e a análise crítica do discurso. Aoanalisar os poemas, foi possível constatar que a conjunção de códigos linguísticos e visuaispotencializam sobremaneira a natureza plurissignificativa do livro. Cada cômodo visitado,cada poema lido, faz brotar no leitor certo incômodo, seja pela intensidade das palavras, oupelas imagens reais e mentais que se passam diante de seus olhos e lembranças.
This article presents, starting out with the Social Semiotics, an analysis of the book " the house: (in)c ômodos (di)versos ", of Osmar Casagrande, exploring the integration between the verbal and the no - verbal. Taking for granted the Social Semiotics as its basis, a study that started in the second half of the years of 1980, in Europe and in Australia (van LEEUWEN, 2005), the analysis highlights the Functional Grammar interface with the Critical Discourse Analysis. Each visited room each read poem brings out in the reader some uncomfortable feeling either by the intensity of the words, or by the real and mental images that happen before his; her eyes and memories.
