A Estação Férrea de São Borja, no Rio Grande do Sul, traz consigo grande legado histórico-cultural, além de ser representativa para o crescimento econômico e memória cultural da cidade. Acredita-se que a reabilitação e a preservação da Estação Férrea de São Borja contribuem para a salvaguarda da memória urbana. Através de uma pesquisa bibliográfica e documental, demonstrou-se que a reabilitação da estação trouxe novos usos e certo nível de conscientização para a preservação do patrimônio ferroviário na cidade e a memória urbana.
The railway station of São Borja in the State of Rio Grande do Sul, brings with it a great historical-cultural legacy, besides being representative for the economic growth and cultural memory of the city. It is believed that the rehabilitation and preservation of the São Borja railway station contributes to the safeguarding of urban memory. Through a bibliographical and documentary research, it was demonstrated that the rehabilitation of the station brought new uses and a certain level of awareness for the preservation of the railway heritage in the city and the urban memory.
