O Supremo Tribunal Federal carrega a missão de ser o guardião da Constituição e decidir questões constitucionais centrais no cenário político e social, justificando o interesse na análise criteriosa de suas decisões. O presente artigo irá observar os tipos de voto individual, para se deter na análise do voto vencido, traçando um panorama geral consistente no estudo do seu aspecto histórico, de sua importância e da própria visão dos ministros do Supremo Tribunal Federal a respeito do tema.

The Federal Supreme Court carries the mission of being the guardian of the Constitution and decide central constitutional issues in the political and social scenario, justifying the interest in the careful analysis of its decisions. This article will look at the types of individual votes, to dwell on the analysis of the overdue vote, tracing a general panorama consistent with the study of its historical aspect, its importance and the very vision of the Supreme Court justices on the subject.
