Resumo Português:
A crise da democracia representativa é uma pauta cotidiana. Mais do que debater a crise, no entanto, imprescindível é compreender em que momento e sob quais condições a corda entre representantes e representados se rompeu. Além disso, o presente trabalho busca, debatendo o conceito de democracia representativa, escorar outras formas de compreensão e participação e, ainda, instrumentos que possam servir ao exercício da democracia por seu titular, o povo. A crise da representatividade não autoriza a conclusão de uma suposta crise da própria democracia. Nos momentos de transição e ruptura, a democracia, tão maleável e elástica, deverá saber se moldar às novas realidades, religando o elo que obrigatoriamente vincula o povo ao poder, redesenhando-se, assim, as formas de exercício deste.
Resumo Inglês:
The crisis of representative democracy is an actual agenda. Rather than discuss the crisis, is essencial to understand at what point and under what circunstances the rope between representatives and represented broke. Moreover, the present paper seems, by the discussing of the concepting of representative democracy, to shore up other forms of understanding and participation and also instruments that can serve the exercise of democracy to its owner, the people. The representation crisis does not authorize the conclusion of some crisis of democracy itself. In times of transition and breakdown, democracy, know for being so flexible and elastic, should learn to readjust to the new realities, reconnecting the link that must bind the people to the power, redesigning forms of exercise the state power.
