NOVOS PADRÕES DE COMBATE À MUDANÇA CLIMÁTICA: UMA LEITURA DO ACORDO DE PARIS DE 2015

O Acordo de Paris de 2015 sob a Convenção-Quadro das Nações Unidas sobre Mudança do Clima de 1992, adotado em 12 de dezembro de 2015 pela Conferência das Partes (COP), prescreve comportamentos vinculantes aos Estados-Partes no sentido de proteger a atmosfera de gases incompatíveis com a vida no planeta. Para alcançar o objetivo de evitar um aumento de até 2° Celsius, exige-se dos Estados-Partes a formulação de Contribuições Nacionalmente Determinadas, que são medidas internas de mitigação de gases de efeito estufa. As modalidades de implementação ficam sob os cuidados dos Estados-Partes que devem cooperar entre si, sob a tutela da COP, responsável por coordenar o que parece ser o novo sistema de proteção internacional do clima.

The Paris Agreement of 2015 under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change of 1992, adopted on December 12, 2015, by the Conference of the Parties (COP) prescribes binding behaviors to the States Parties to protect the atmosphere of gases incompatible with the life on the planet. The modalities of the implementation stay under the regard of the States Parties that should cooperate between them, under the guardianship of the COP, responsible for the coordination of what seems like the new international climate protection system.
