O papel do objeto em cena é fundamental no teatro de animação e naquele que não usa a palavra escrita ou falada. A semiosfera que reúne e combina os objetos, o tempo, o som, o movimento e a imagem a outros elementos produzidos em cena, é responsável pela significação.Investigaremos como o teatro serve-se da semelhança para significar. Os objetos podem significar por eles mesmos, ou produzir outros significados: um telefone rosa em cena pode também passar a ideia de feminilidade. Esse modo de ver – um telefone como um signo dentre um conjunto de signos – permitiu-nos elaborar operações sígnicas com o objetivo de criar condições favoráveis à dramaturgia no teatro de animação.
The role of the object in scene is a fundamental issue for puppet theater and that kind of theatre that does not use the spoken or written word. The semiosphere that brings together and combi-nes objects, time, sound, movement and image with other elements produced on the scene, is responsible for the creation of meaning. We will investigate how the theater uses resemblance to conceive meaning. Objects have a meaning of their own and can also produce other meanings: a pink phone on the scene, for example, can convey the idea of femininity. This view of a phone as a sign in a bigger set of signs, has allowed us to reflect upon and elaborate sign operations with the aim of creating conducive conditions to dramaturgy in puppet theater.
