Neste trabalho, apresentaremos reflexões sobre os resultados da pesquisa teórico-prática desenvolvida em 2018, na qual uma turma de alunos de graduação do curso de Cinema e Audiovisual adaptou cenas da novela epistolar A volta do para-fuso (1898), de Henry James, para a lingua-gem audiovisual, fazendo uso do recurso da câmera intradiegética. Este trabalho analisa algumas características estilísticas dos trabalhos realizados, relacionando-as à literatura epistolar, ao found footage de horror, ao fenômeno do horror digital e ao chamado glitch gothic, com o objetivo de descrever e discutir implicações de uma atividade educativa desenvolvida em curso de Comunicação Social.
In this work, we reflect on the results of a practical research developed in 2018, in which a group of undergraduate students of Cinema and Audiovisual adapted scenes from the epistolary novel The Turn of the Screw (1898), by Henry James, for audiovisual language, using intradiegetic cameras. This work analyzes stylistic choices of the films made by the students, relating them to the epistolary literature, to the found footage horror films, to the digital horror phenomenon and to the so-called glitch gothic, to describe and discuss some implications of an educational activity developed in a Social Communication course.
