Os grupos indígenas e negros, no Brasil, além de terem sofrido na pele séculos de opressão, também enfrentaram, séculos mais tarde, desafios em torno das formas como foram representados nos livros didáticos. No presente trabalho buscou-se analisar e refletir sobre as representações do índio e do negro nos livros didáticos de História do Brasil publicados entre as décadas de 1970 e 2000, período em que, mediante avanços de debates e ações afirmativas, verificam-se profundas mudanças, que vão do esquecimento à visibilidade.
The indigenous and black groups in Brazil, in addition to having suffered centuries of oppression on their skin, also faced, centuries later, challenges around the ways in which they were represented in textbooks. In the present work, we sought to analyze and reflect on the representations of the Indian and the black in the textbooks of History of Brazil published between the 1970s and 2000s, a period in which, through advances in debates and affirmative actions, profound changes are verified, ranging from oblivion to visibility.
