Se é certo que um Deus fez este mundo, não queria eu ser esse Deus: as dores do mundo dilacerariam meu coração, estas são as palavras do filósofo Arthur Schopenhauer em sua obra intitulada, A Vontade de Amar. É certo que o mundo está cheio de situações que continuam dilacerando o nosso coração, e podemos afirmar que também tem dilacerado o coração do DeusCriador. Por sua graça e misericórdia Ele poupou a arrependida Assíria na época de Jonas, e no texto mais conhecido da bíblia deixou resgistrado a expressão de seu grande amor pelo ser humano carente de ajudar e salvação, ou seja, no Evangelho de João capítulo 3, verso 16, onde diz: Porque Deus amou o mundo de tal maneira que deu seu filho unigênito, para que todo aquele que nele crê, não pereça, mas tenha a vida eterna. E, por causa deste grande amor de Deus, é que também somos nós, como Igreja, desafiados a irmos ao encontro daqueles que padecem o sofrimento, seja qual for a situação ou a intensidade.

If it is true that a God made this world, I did not want to be that God: the pains of the world would tear my heart apart, these are the words of the philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer in his work entitled, The Will to Love. It is true that the world is full of situations that continue to tear our hearts, and we can say that they have also torn the heart of the Creator God. By his grace and mercy He spared the repentant Assyria in the time of Jonah, and in the best-known text of the Bible he left recorded the expression of his great love for human beings in need of help and salvation, that is, in the Gospel of John chapter 3, verse 16, where it says: For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. And, because of this great love of God, we, as the Church, are also challenged to reach out to those who suffer suffering, whatever the situation or intensity.
