O presente artigo tem como principal propósito discutir a inserção do Turismo em territórios
indÃgenas desvencilhando-se das concepções que a percebem como atividade de
ameaça social, cultural e econômica em tais comunidades. O Turismo hoje tem estado
cada vez mais presente nas comunidades indÃgenas não só como fonte de renda
complementar, mas também como mecanismo de revitalização cultural e integração ao
cenário global. Além disso, serão discutidas a inserção do universo turÃstico como objeto de
estudo antropológico e o desenvolvimento do Turismo Étnico em comunidades indÃgenas.
The present assay has as main intention to argue the insertion of the Tourism in aboriginal
territories unfastening itself of the conceptions that perceive it as activity of social threat,
cultural and economic in such communities. The Tourism today has been each more present
time in the aboriginal communities not only as source of complementary income, but also as
mechanism of cultural revitalization and integration to the global scene. Moreover, will be
argued the insertion of the tourist universe as object of anthropological study and the
development of the Ethnic Tourism in aboriginal communities.
