No presente artigo, será abordada uma exposição reflexiva sobre a violência obstétrica no Brasil, em especial nas mulheres negras. Demonstrar-se-á que essa forma de agressão pode se manifestar de múltiplas maneiras: física e moralmente, por intermédio de ofensas, de negligências, bem como por meio de procedimentos invasivos, demasiados e que olvidam a autonomia da paciente. Ademais, o seu contexto de impacto ocupa o momento anterior, concomitante e razoavelmente sucessor ao parto, afligido principalmente mulheres em condição de vulnerabilidade socioeconômica. Ressaltar-se-á a hercúlea conexão da violência obstétrica ao preconceito de gênero e ao racismo estrutural, os quais norteariam no cotidiano a realização de prática médicas abusivas e omissas, caracterizando o consequente e profundo sofrimento imposto à paciente. Destarte, marcar-se-á a urgência de se discutir a respeito das formas de manifestação da violência obstétrica em perspectiva da interseccionalidade racial e de gênero para se pensar em caminhos viáveis, humanos, eficazes e jurídicos vocacionados ao seu combate.
This article will provide a reflective account of obstetric violence in Brazil, especially against black women. It will be shown that this form of aggression can manifest itself in multiple ways: physically and morally, through offenses and negligence, as well as through invasive procedures that are excessive and neglect the patient's autonomy. In addition, its context of impact occupies the moment before, at the same time as and reasonably after childbirth, afflicting mainly women in conditions of socio-economic vulnerability. The Herculean connection between obstetric violence and gender prejudice and structural racism will be highlighted, which guide abusive and omissive medical practices on a daily basis, characterizing the consequent and profound suffering imposed on thepatient. This will highlight the urgency of discussing the ways in which obstetric violence manifests itself from the perspective of racial and gender intersectionality, in order to think of viable, humane, effective and legal ways to combat it.
