A partir das contribuições de Pierre Bourdieu este ensaio promove uma análise das características sociológicas da unidade temática esporte na Educação Física escolar e suas implicações na formação cultural, crítica e social do aluno. Propõe-se uma reflexão acerca desta prática corporal desenvolvida nas escolas e suscitar possibilidades para uma intervenção pedagógica que integre esta prática nas diferentes categorias desta unidade temática, produzindo assim conceitos, valores e atitudes que sejam significativos à formação da cidadania. Utilizou-se uma abordagem bibliográfica de matriz exploratória, descritiva e explicativa. Compreende-se que o desafio atual dos estudos e práticas corporais do esporte na escola se constitui em problematizá-lo, de modo a promover reflexões sobre este fenômeno e contribuir para que o mesmo seja percebido criticamente em suas manifestações pelos alunos.
From the contributions of Pierre Bourdieu we seek to promote an analysis of the sociological characteristics of the sport in the School Physical Education and its implications in the cultural, critical and social formation of the student. The purpose is toreflectabout this corporal practice developed in the schools and to raise possibilities for a pedagogical intervention that integrates this practice in the different categories of this thematicunit, thus producing concepts, values and attitudes that aresignificant to the formation of citizenship. We start with a bibliographic approach of an exploratory, descriptive and explanatory matrix. We conclude that as a mandatory subject unit in the Physical Education curriculum, we understand that the current challenge of the studies and corporal practices of sports in the school is to problematize it, in order to promote reflections on this phenomenon and contribute to its being perceived critically intheir manifestations by the students.Keywords:Sport;Physical Education;Sociology;School.
