A hipotensão arterial intraoperatória é a principal intercorrência anestésica de cães e gatos, mesmo em cirurgias eletivas. Caso a hipotensão arterial intraoperatória não seja identificada ou corrigida, hipoperfusão tecidual e o desenvolvimento de disfunções orgânicas poderão ocorrer no período pós-operatório. Portanto, este trabalho tem como objetivo auxiliar médicos veterinários anestesiologistas e estudantes de graduação em medicina veterinária a estabelecerem um diagnóstico assertivo e a determinarem a terapia ideal em casos de hipotensão arterial intraoperatória em diferentes cenários, padronizando o fluxo de tratamento com base na sua etiologia, a fim de aumentar a segurança do ato anestésico, minimizar o impacto hemodinâmico da hipotensão arterial e proporcionar melhor prognóstico pós-operatório para cães e gatos.
Intraoperative hypotension is the main anesthetic complication in dogs and cats, even in elective surgeries. If intraoperative hypotension is not identified or corrected, tissue hypoperfusion and the development of organ dysfunctions may occur in the postoperative period. Therefore, this study aims to help veterinarians, anesthesiologists and undergraduate students in veterinary medicine to establish an assertive diagnosis and determine the ideal therapy in cases of intraoperative hypotension in different scenarios, standardizing the treatment flow based on its etiology, in order to increase the safety of the anesthetic act. minimize the hemodynamic impact of hypotension and provide better postoperative prognosis for dogs and cats.
