A imagem corporal é a representação mental do próprio corpo. Este estudo tem como objetivo compreender a imagem corporal de pessoas transgênero, buscando possíveis interfaces com a Educação Física escolar. Realizou-se uma revisão bibliográfica na base dedados Scopus, resultando em 5 artigos. Um achado relevante foi a ausência de estudos sobre imagem corporal em populações LGBTQIA+ na Educação Física escolar, evidenciando a invisibilidade dessas populações. A literatura tem priorizado a dicotomia dehomens e mulheres cisgênero, com pouca ênfase nas vivências de minorias sexuais e de gênero, especialmente pessoas trans.
Body image is the mental representation of one's own body. This study aims to understand the body image of transgender individuals, interfacing with school Physical Education. An literature review was conducted in the Scopus database, resulting in 5 articles. A significant finding was the absence of studies on body image in LGBTQIA+populations in school Physical Education, highlighting the invisibility of these populations. The literature has prioritized the dichotomy of cisgender men and women, with little emphasis on the experiences of sexual and gender minorities, especially transgender people.
