A cada eleição, os eleitores são convocados a exercer seu direito de voto, tendo o papel de escolher o governante que melhor representa seus interesses. O objetivo deste trabalho é analisar a decisão de voto nas eleições municipais de Uruçuca entre 2008 a 2020. Assim, utilizou-se o banco de dados secundários do Tribunal Superior Eleitoral sobre o perfil dos candidatos a vereadores e as variáveis gênero e raça desses candidatos, buscando identificar padrões e mudanças no comportamento eleitoral nas eleições municipais. Apesar da baixa representação feminina, com apenas 11 mulheres eleitas no período analisado, os dados sugerem que essa diferença não está diretamente relacionada ao gênero como fator determinante na escolha do voto,mas a outros fatores, como aestrutura partidária ou o número reduzido de candidaturas femininas, refletindo a predominância de candidatos do gênero masculino entre os eleitos
In each election, voters are called to exercise their right to vote, having the role of choosing the ruler who best represents their interests. The objective of this work is to analyze the voting decision in the municipal elections of Uruçuca from 2008 to 2020. Thus, the secondary database from the Superior Electoral Court on the profile of candidates for city councilors and the variables of gender and race of these candidates was used, aiming to identify patterns and changes in electoral behaviorin municipal elections. Despite the low female representation, with only 11 women elected during the analyzed period, the data suggest that this difference is not directly related to gender as a determining factor in the choice of vote, but to other factors, such as the party structure or the reduced number of female candidacies, reflecting the predominance of male candidates among the elected
