O crescente fluxo de pessoas, negócios e informações do mundo contemporâneo aliado ao desenvolvimento tecnológico e de transporte fazem do jornalismo internacional um fenômeno intelectual e econômico cada vez mais importante. Nesse âmbito, o jornalismo se apresenta também como um intérprete da geopolítica e política internacional. No processo de delimitação da editoria internacional, as agências de notícias surgiram desempenhando um importante papel na consolidação dessa prática jornalística.O presente artigo tem objetivo depromoveruma breve reflexãohistóricasobre o jornalismo internacional, destacando suas principais características,por meio de umaabordagem teórico-conceitual, utilizando a metodologiadapesquisa bibliográfica.
