Low Back Pain is one of the most commom musculeskeletal diseases that affect people in industrialized countries, leading
them to a functional disability and many instruments have been used to evaluate pain, the incapacity and the effi ciency of a treatment
program. This study aims was to compare the results of these instruments and to evaluate the effi cacy of an educational program and of
physiotherapic exercises through the perception of individuals with low back pain about their pain and functional capacity. The instruments
had been used was Oswestry, Short Form 36, EVA and a questionnaire on pain with postural diagram, before and after the training
program. The subject received orientantions and performed physiotherapic exercises. The results showed decreased in pain and increased
in the functional ability of the subject, indicating the validity of the used instruments, as well as the effi ciency of a program of training in
individuals with low back pain. The results showed an increase in functional capacity through Oswestry and SF36 whose initial values
were 53.8 and 53.5 through 27.5 and 68.5 respectively for. Similarly there was a decrease in pain demonstrated by the results obtained by
Eva and SF36, whose value were 4.9 and 3.6 to 29.8 and 60.8 at the end of the training, indicating the validity of the instruments used in
the assessment and as the effi ciency of the educational program and exercises for this person.
