Neste estudo evidenciamos os vestÃgios da ação educativa das Escolas Paroquiais
Franciscanas no Sudeste Goiano no que diz respeito à formação das educadoras nos primeiros
anos de criação e funcionamento destas instituições (1944-1963). A orientação didáticopedagógica,
bem como a superação das dificuldades, estruturava-se por meio da constituição
de uma metodologia própria, adaptada às circunstâncias e ao meio onde as ações educativas se
realizavam. Dentre as iniciativas de formação empreendidas pelas Irmãs Franciscanas de
Allegany está a criação do Instituto Franciscano de Professoras, que resultou na composição
de um acervo de obras, fontes e instruções destinadas à preparação do quadro interno de
educadoras e evangelizadoras em Goiás.
In this study we demonstrate the traces of the educational action of the Franciscan
Parochial Schools in the Southeast of the state of Goiás in relation to the formation of the
teachers in the first years of the creation and functioning of these institutions (1944-1963).
The didactical and pedagogical orientation, as well as the overcoming of the difficulties, were
structured by means of the development of their own methodology which was adapted to the
circumstances and to the context where the educational actions took place. Amongst the
initiatives of the teacher formation accomplished by the Franciscan Sisters of Allegany is the
creation of the Franciscan Teachers Institute, which resulted in a great production of works,
resources and instruction destined to the preparation of the internal board of teachers and
missionaries in Goiás.
