Family farming in Brazil is responsible for 54% of milk production. The study was
conducted with the aim of finding ways for pasture management and land of family farmers
engaged in milk production in the municipality of Catanduvas, PR. The main results obtained
by the study were as follows: 14% of the properties studied do not realize the management of
pickets and pastures; 35% of the farms raised not achieve fertilization of pasture areas; 37%
of properties do not make soil analysis; 20% properties analyzed have low soil fertility; 38%
of properties have acidity values outside the recommended values.
