Several α-(3-flavonyloxy)-ω-bromoalkanes (1) on treatment with substituted phenols, anilines, thiophenols and 2-aminopyridine resulted novel potentially bioactive 3-[ω-substituted phenoxy (3a-t), anilino (4a-h), thiophenoxy (5a-d) and 2-pyridylamino (7a-c) alkoxy] flavones. The structures of the products have been elucidated by analytical and spectral data.
