This study aims to identify and discuss the importance of action of major industrial groups meat exporters of Mato Grosso do Sul, to understand how the export strategies adopted to help develop the regional economy. In support of analysis sought to understand how neoliberal policies implemented in Brazil during the 1990s caused severe changes in the industrial setting of Brazil. The predominance of commodity exports from Mato Grosso do Sul is the strengthening of the role of agribusiness in the state economy. Rising exports of beef, as well as other segments of agribusiness over time show that Brazil has a strong point in the exports primary products, so the country increasingly became dependent on primary model exporting.
