Under the Bakhtinian theoretical viewpoint, this paper analyses the newspaper Folha de São Paulo's editorial projects. Aspects such as lexicon, the use of modal verbs and their insertion in the panorama of primary and/or secondary discourse, as proposed by Bakhtin, were observed, in order to, finally, verify which by style the newspaper is nationally known.
