O objetivo deste trabalho foi discutir as bases com que o ensino em engenharia
florestal foi implantado no Brasil em 1960, em comparação à PolÃtica de
Educação Ambiental vigente pela Lei Federal n. 9.795, de 27 de abril de 1999.
Verifi cou-se que o discurso produtivista do setor de base fl orestal é legÃtimo,
pois as contribuições socioambientais das fl orestas podem ser muito maiores
que as atuais. Conclui-se que a Educação Ambiental deve ser considerada
na formação dos profi ssionais deste segmento, valorizando a importância
da expansão da base fl orestal plantada e à inclusão de empresas do setor em
processos de Certifi cação Ambiental e Florestal. Recomenda-se a discussão
formal do tema Epistemologia nestes centros de ensino.
The aim of this work was to discuss the bases in which the forest teaching was
implanted in Brazil in 1960, in comparison to the Environmental Education
Politics implemented by the Federal Law n. 9.795, of April 27, 1999. It
was verifi ed that the productivity speech of the forest sector is correct, and
the forests’ socio-environmental contributions can be much larger than the
current ones. It is concluded that the Environmental Education should be
considered for professional formation of this segment, valuing the importance
of planted forest expansion and the inclusion of companies in Environmental
and Forest Certifi cation processes. It is recommended the formal discussion
of the Epistemology theme in these education centers.
