Os postos de combustÃveis realizam atividades potencialmente
geradoras de impactos ambientais. A implantação de um Sistema de
Gestão Ambiental propicia um aumento da efi ciência na realização
dos procedimentos necessários para a minimização desses impactos. A
presente pesquisa objetivou avaliar a percepção da importância da gestão
ambiental em postos de combustÃveis. Foram realizadas entrevistas com
responsáveis por cinco postos de combustÃveis na cidade de Irati, PR e
concluiu-se que houve muitas divergências em relação a esta percepção,
o que se refl ete na situação ambiental das empresas.
Fuel stations carry out activities that are potential generators of
environmental impacts. The implantation of an Environmental
Management System can increase the effi ciency in the accomplishment
of procedures that are necessary to reduce the generation of these impacts. This paper presents an assessment of the perception that the station
managers have about the signifi cance of the environmental management
applied to fi lling facilities. Managers of fi ve stations located in Irati city
were interviewed. It was found that there were many different opinions
regarding this perception, which are refl ected in the environmental
situation of the studied companies.
