O presente trabalhou buscou trazer o histórico do desenvolvimento da governança corporativa e sua relação com o desenvolvimento do mercado de capitais. Neste sentido, trouxe a análise dos segmentos especiais de governança corporativa criados pela B3 com o objetivo de fomentar o mercado de capitais no Brasil, trazendo as principais regras a serem seguidas por empresas que resolvem aderir voluntariamente a estes segmentos. Nesse sentido, o trabalho traz uma comparação de desempenho entre empresas do mercado tradicional e empresas que aderiram voluntariamente aos segmentos especiais de listagem.
The present work sought to bring the history of the development of corporate governance and its relationship with the development of the capital market. In this sense, it brought the analysis of the special corporate governance segments created by B3 with the objective of fostering the capital market in Brazil, bringing the main rules to be followed by companies that decide to voluntarily join these segments. In this sense, the work brings a performance comparison between companies in the traditional market and companies that voluntarily adhered to the special listing segments.
