Este artigo tem por objetivo traçar um paralelo entre vida, obra e ação político-educacional de Anísio Teixeira em análise comparativa com Miguel de Cervantes, na obra Dom Quixote e com Lima Barreto, na obra Triste fim de Policarpo Quaresma. Busca-se, na confluência entre esses três vultos históricos, analisar o caráter heroico e idealista, o espírito ufanista, bem como as questões de denúncias sociais que permeiam a trajetória dos mesmos.

This article aims to draw a parallel between Anísio Teixeira’s life, work and political-educational action in comparative analysis with Miguel de Cervantes, in the work Don Quixote and with Lima Barreto, in the work Triste fim de Policarpo Quaresma. At the influence of these three historical figures, it is sought to analyze the heroic and idealistic character, the spirit of pride, as well as the questions of social denunciations that permeate their trajectory.
