This study exposes the problems related to the use of photo albums from police stations in Brazil. There are no control how to insert and display images of people. The exhibition of photos of non-white people looks like a facet of institutional racism that continues to structure the investigation in Brazil, just as one could see a catalog of escaped enslaved people, being sold, rented or lent. As there is no specific regulation in the composition of the album of supposedly suspicious people, one must think of the lack of possibility of using the recognition of people under this model.
