In the present paper, based on theoretical and sociological references, we articulate the notion of projects and the field of possibilities with the reflexivity of the body, in order to specifically analyze the social use female prostitutes make of their own body when is necessary to differentiate between the body that makes sex from the body that goes on sexual encounters. Within this context, it is of our interest to understand the symbolic logic that justifies the reasons behind female prostitutes establishing symbolic body boundaries between having sex and going to sexual encounters.
