No atual contexto identificado como período de crises, a Universidade necessita refletir e questionar sobre qual o compromisso político e social com as questões sociais que emergem dessa nova configuração de sociedade. Na contemporaneidade, essa instituição tem a oportunidade de revisitar sua história e propor alternativas no modo de instituir-se. Neste artigo, demonstram-se compreensões sobre a responsabilidade social e política da Universidade do Estado do Mato Grosso (Unemat). Para isso, estudou-se o caso dos professores-pesquisadores, líderes de grupos de pesquisa da área de Ciências Humanas/Educação da Unemat, Campus Sinop/MT. Foram utilizadas como fontes de informação a entrevista e os documentos institucionais. Na análise, trabalhou-se com a metodologia da análise textual discursiva. Após este estudo, é possível dizer que se está a passar por um período de constituições e cotidianamente a desenvolver rupturas e possibilidades no fazer institucional, porém, ao mesmo tempo, percebe-se que se está a expandir as questões sociais, políticas e tecnológicas sem rumo certo.

In the current identified context as period of crises, the University needs to reflect and to question about which the political and social commitment with the social issues that emerge of that new society configuration. In the contemporary times, that institution has the opportunity to revisit their history and to propose alternatives in order to be instituted. In this article, understandings are demonstrated about the social and political responsibility of the University of the State of Mato Grosso (Unemat). For that, it was studied the case of teacher-researchers, leaders of groups of research of the area of Humanities/Education of Unemat, Campus Sinop/MT. Were used as sources of information the interview and the institutional documents. In the analysis, worked up with the methodology of the discursive textual analysis. After this study, it is possible saying that it is going through for a period of constitutions and daily to develop ruptures and possibilities in making institutional, however, at the same time, it is noticed that is expanding the social issues, politics and technological without right direction.

Dans le contexte actuel identifié comme période de crise, l’Université doit refléchir et poser des questions sur quel l’engagement politique et social à des enjeux sociaux qui se dégagent de ce nouveau contexte de la societé. À l’époque contemporaine, cette institution a la possibilité de revisiter son histoire et de proposer des alternatives dans le moyens de s’instituer. Dans cet article, se montre des compréhensions sur la responsabilité sociale et politique de l’Université de l’État du Mato Grosso (Unemat). Pour cela, il a été étudié le cas des enseignants-chercheurs, les chefs de groupe de recherche de domaine des sciences humaines/ éducation de l’Unemat, campus Sinop/MT. Ont été utilisés comme les sources d’information l’enterview et des documents institutionnels. Dans l’analyse, nous avons travaillé avec la méthodologie de l’analyse textuelle discursive. Après cette étude, il est possible de dire qu’il s’agit de traverser une période de constitutions et des rupture quotidiennes et des possibilités dans le faire institutionnelle, mais en même temps, il est remarcable l’expansion des questions sociales, politiques et des technologique sans but précis.
